Service Times
The Session recently agreed that a shift in service times was needed. Being encouraged by the Moderator of General Assembly’s comments during his recent visit that an additional worship service is about providing another option, we wanted to make that option as effective as possible. We recognized that few of us like to wait on our meals, and children even less so. What a great expression of hospitality it is to be able to offer worship that will conclude before lunch! Beginning in July, our together service will take place at 9:30 a.m., when it is cooler in the sanctuary, and beginning in the fall we will continue the 9:30 worship time with the later service being at 11:00 a.m. This will ensure all are treated fairly, improving our service to all our parishioners and allow everyone to get home a bit earlier. Our hope is that the space we are creating for others will be as welcoming and hospitable as it can be.
